This is my dorm room from freshman year. I am using this picture to show the difference between dorm life and off campus living. I believe the dorms are a great adjustment to college life because it gives you a great opportunity to meet new people while experience living on your own. I also think it is a great way to get involved on campus because the dorms is always advertising new activities and ways to get involve.

This is my kitchen and living space in my apartment, this is different from dorm life because there is no kitchen or living space in your dorm room. Moving into an apartment meant that I have to cook and clean and learn how to prepare food in my kitchen. The dorms allow you to have a meal plan, where you just have the choice of bringing it back to your room or eating in the dining hall.

This is my room in my apartment off campus. I believe it is a step up and a lot more responsibility to have your own apartment off campus. I am now responsible for paying bills and having to be aware of a lot of things I never had to worry about in the dorms, like making sure all of the lights are turned off and everything in unplugged so I don't waste electricity and can save money. Also, sometimes having your own room can be lonely, and an adjustment. I have roommates but we all have our own individual rooms

I believe that all of my friends that I have interviewed have several things in common. Mostly everyone living in an apartment has to prepare their own meals and everyone I interview did that. Also, I have noticed that everyone has gotten over 8 hours of sleep, because usually if we don't have to wake up for classes, generally everyone will sleep longer. Everyone I interviewed has also partied for most hours of the night, I have noticed that everyone is basically partying during all of the same hours, except some people start earlier then others.
